Terms & conditions - school excursions

Payment

  1. All School Excursions purchases must be made via the the email learn@farmraiser.com.au

  2. Farm Raiser requires invoices to be paid in full 14 days prior to the event. Please allow adequate time for the payment to be processed.

Cancellation or postponement - by Client request

  1. You may cancel your booking for any reason 14 days in advance of the original session date, in exchange for a full refund minus booking fees.

  2. To cancel you excursion please email learn@farmraiser.com.au

  3. You may request a postponement for any reason up to 14 days in advance of your session. Alternative dates subject to availability.

  4. The Client may request a postponement up to 72 hours in advance of a session (without penalty) if the daily maximum temperature is forecast to meet or exceed 35°C. Alternative dates subject to availability.

  5. Inclement weather is not considered a reasonable grounds for cancellation or rescheduling. No refund will be given.

Cancellation or postponement - by request of Farm Raiser

  1. In the event of adverse weather, staffing, resourcing and safety issues or other unforeseen events, Farm Raiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel a School Tour up to 24 hours in advance.

  2. If we have to make a last-minute cancellation, the Client receives a full refund, minus booking fees, or will be given the opportunity to reschedule, subject to availability.

Our expectations of school groups

  1. General

    1. All supervising adults must be made aware of these terms and conditions.

    2. All attending teachers must familiarise themselves with the Information Pack sent upon booking as it contains important logistical information.

    3. We are a working farm. All attending children are the responsibility of the client and all visits must be staffed accordingly. All children must be adequately supervised at all times.

    4. The School Excursion schedule is strict and the end time cannot be adjusted to accommodate late arrivals.

    5. It is the responsibility of the client to arrive at Farm Raiser by 10am, to allow time for toilet and snack breaks throughout the excursion. Please allow time for heavy traffic and a 5 minute walk from the bus parking area at Bellfield Community Hub.

    6. We are an outdoor venue; please plan your visit accordingly and ensure students wear weather-appropriate clothing, including gumboots, raincoats, hats and sunscreen.

  2. During the School Excursion

    1. The farmer’s role is to deliver content not manage student behaviour.

    2. Active supervision and behaviour management is required at all times by teachers and supervising staff. Please ensure that students:

      • Dispose of all rubbish appropriately

      • Stick to the paths to prevent damage to gardens

      • Don’t pick anything that is growing

      • Are respectful of the students of Waratah Special Developmental School

  3. After the School Tour

    1. All spaces must be tidied up left as found.
