FARM RAISER

Since 2020, Farm Raiser has been dedicated to growing nourishing produce for our local community while stewarding the land with care. We are a not-for-profit, social enterprise and registered charity committed to making high-quality food accessible and providing educational programs, particularly for students with disabilities.

Farm Raiser is led by Eve and Charlotte, who balance the daily demands of running the farm with their passion for education, inclusion, and community-building. We collaborate closely with our neighbours, Waratah Special Developmental School, providing weekly hands-on learning experiences that help students develop skills, confidence, and a deeper connection to nature, food and food systems.

Our food relief program includes concession pricing through our on-site farm shop, work with Launch Housing, BANSIC and Barrbunin Beek Aboriginal Gathering place, and growing culturally appropriate produce based on community consultation and the Good Food Voucher Program.

While we started with grant funding to establish our infrastructure, we have sustained our farm through the sale of our produce, remaining independent, grassroots and community-driven. We are a small team, but with the support of our volunteers, students, and local partners, we continue to grow both food and opportunities for our neighbours, our community and ourselves!
